Is it necessary to add extra backing for a 2003 seadoo utopia 205? I mounted it on the gun whale on back and front of boat I purchased the mk1 black tower from y’all. Just want to make sure that no extra backing was needed for my boat. I figured gun whale section of boat was thicker and sturdier than side of boat?

Hello, Anytime you are mounting a tower on a boat we will always recommend additional reinforcements underneath the fiberglass. You can use either marine grade plywood, sheet metal, or starboard. We say the more you can do, the better.
