If you are just getting into wakeboarding or any other water sport, you are probably going to need a wakeboard tower. There are lots of factors you should consider before you decide on a wakeboard tower, from the style of your boat to what you plan on doing out on the water. We want to help you make the decision for which Monster Tower is right for you.

About Our Wakeboard Towers

We take great pride in the engineering and craftsmanship of our wakeboard towers. That’s why we go the extra mile in ensuring your tower’s construction is durable. All of our wakeboard towers feature extra thick 2.5 inch diameter 6061 aluminum tubing for superior corrosion resistant, hand-welded cross sections for increased strength, a swivel tow point, and up to a 5-year warranty.

Finding a Tower in Your Budget

We offer several different wakeboard towers, ranging from entry level to premium. No matter what kind of budget you have, you will get a quality tower from us. All of our towers have the aluminum tubing, hand welded cross section, and folding capability. The most economic tower is the entry level. These towers are usually cage style with a straight design, and our entry level is the MTE. A mid-level tower is more curved than an entry level and has more finish options. Our mid level towers are the MT1 and MT2. A premium tower is at the higher end of the budget spectrum with the most finish options and stylized look. Our premium tower is the MTK.

Picking a Tower that Fits Your Boat

In order to determine which Monster Tower would work best for your boat, you need to measure the width and length of your boat. To measure the beam width, find the widest part of your boat and measure from the outer edge of the hull on one side to the outer edge of the other side. Measure from the bow to the stern of your boat to find the correct length. Monster Towers are best suited for trailerable boats with a maximum width of 102 inches.

Planned Activities

Before you purchase a wakeboard tower, you should consider what you plan on using it for. If you want to get into wakeboarding, kneeboarding, water surfing, or almost any other kind of water sport, you need a wakeboard tower. Although towers aren’t required to do these sports, the height of a tower raises your tow point and provides more air when compared to a low tow point. The more air a rider can get, the higher and easier he or she can jump when doing tricks. Many people also use wakeboard towers to hang lights for greater safety and visibility. If you plan on spending time with family and friends on your boat, you might want to mount speakers so you can listen to music, and you can add a bimini for some shade. Racks can also mount to your wakeboard tower and be used to store all kinds of equipment, such as wakeboards or water skis. People can also use the wakeboard tower to support themselves as they move on the boat.

Matching The Style of Your Boat

Something that may not have crossed your mind when you are looking for a wakeboard tower is style. You want your wakeboard tower to complement your boat. If you have a stylish boat with lots of curves, you will probably want a tower with curved legs and a modern appearance. If your boat is more traditional than sporty, you should get a more traditional wakeboard tower. Wakeboard towers can come in a variety of colors, so if there is a signature color on your boat, you could match your tower to that color. By adding a wakeboard tower to your boat, you are also increasing the resale value of your boat. You will have upgraded your boat by adding a great accessory that adds a ton of value.

DIY vs. Professional Installation

Once you purchase your wakeboard tower, you will need to install it. Many of our customers install their own wakeboard towers, but you could also hire a professional to do it for you. There are many reasons why you might want to install the tower yourself. We provide instructions for how to install our wakeboard towers, and they are designed to be easy to install. If you have any trouble while you are trying to install your tower, we offer phone and email support. Usually, self-installation can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours. You may not want to install it yourself because of the time commitment or because the task seems daunting. We understand if you’d rather hire someone else to install your tower for you. You will have to spend a little extra money, but you might feel better knowing the job is done right.

There are many aspects to think about when purchasing a wakeboard tower, from style to budget. Since you know just about everything you should consider before you buy a wakeboard tower, you are probably ready to choose the right tower for you. Find out which Monster Tower is right for you, then get out on the water and have some fun!
