We have a ton of customers who are DIYers and find it easy to install any of our towers on their boats. For each boat specifically it will depend on a few things. One of the biggest things to take into consideration would be if you are able to gain access to the install the backing plates. On some boats you may have to move seat cushions or even create an access point. This can be done utilizing the top mount or the side mount. The hardware that is included can be used to mount in either position. Our newest tower is the MT7. Not a silly question at all! When you buy a tower and bimini they are seperate but are designed to work together. You can install the tower frist then add the bimini later.

We typically recommended our towers would not work with factory biminis. The top of the top narrows and typically cuts off the space the factory bimini would need to use as well. That being said we have seen it work as well. There is no way to tell for sure until you have the tower and factory bimini together.
